Signing in and your account

You can sign in with an email from us, a password, Google, Apple, or a passkey. They all reach the same account, so use whichever is easiest. If you’re locked out right now, jump to when a link or code doesn’t work.

Open My Profile

Signing in with email

On the login page, enter your email and press Continue. Then enter your password or choose Email me a sign-in code instead.

The email shows an 8-digit code at the top and a Sign in with a link button below it. Type the code on the login page, or press the button and then Sign in on the page that opens. Typing the code is handy when the email is on your phone but you’re signing in on a computer.

The login page remembers how you last signed in on that browser and shows that option first.

Passwords

To set or change a password, go to My Profile (click your name at the bottom of the sidebar), find the Password card, and click Change password.

To reset one you’ve forgotten, click Forgot password? on the login page and enter your email. We’ll send a reset link, which works once and expires after 24 hours.

Google and Apple

If your co-op invited you by email, sign in with that email first, then connect Google or Apple from My Profile on the Sign-in methods card. Connecting them in that order keeps everything on one account. Once connected, either button on the login page opens your usual account.

If you pressed Google or Apple first

That can start a second, empty account. You’ll see a page headed We don’t have a co-op account for your email. Click Connect to my existing account, sign in to the account your co-op knows you by, and confirm with Connect Google or Connect Apple. The empty account is removed.

You can also click Use a different account and sign in with the email your co-op has on file. Google lets you choose which account to use. Apple can’t switch accounts, so use your email with a sign-in code or password instead.

Note: If your Apple account uses a private relay email, HomeschoolGo receives that relay address. Share it with your co-op admin if they need to recognize you.

Passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, your device’s screen lock, or a security key. Sign in the usual way first, then go to My Profile, find the Passkeys card, and click Add a passkey. Your fingerprint or face never leaves your device.

After that, the login page on that browser shows Sign in with a passkey. If your passkey has synced to a new phone or computer, click the email box on the login page there and it appears as a suggestion, in browsers that support it. Otherwise, sign in another way on the new device and add a passkey there too.

Changing your email address

You have two addresses to think about, and they change in different ways.

  • Your family’s contact email: on My Profile, click Edit on the Family Information card and change Email. This is what your co-op sees. It doesn’t change how you sign in.
  • The address you sign in with: there’s no button for this yet. Use the contact form in the Help Center, send it from your current address if you can, and tell us the new one.

Who can see your information

  • Other members of your co-op can see the Families page. Your co-op’s admins decide which contact details appear there, for everyone. If you’d rather a detail not show, ask an admin. People outside your co-op can’t open that page.
  • Your child’s teachers see allergy and medical notes on their class roster, along with your phone and email. A teacher covering another class can see its roster, but not the parents’ contact details.
  • Your co-op’s owners and admins can see your family’s records, which an owner can limit by area for each admin.
  • Students with their own sign-in see only their own information, not a sibling’s.

Staying signed in and signing out

You stay signed in between visits. Closing the browser doesn’t log you out, and next time you’ll land straight on your dashboard.

On a shared or public computer, click Log out at the bottom of the sidebar when you’re done. That signs out only the device you’re on.

To sign out a device you no longer have, go to My Profile and find the Signed-in devices card. It lists each browser and app where you’re signed in. Click Sign out next to one, or Sign out of other devices to end every session except this one.

Deleting your account

Use the contact form in the Help Center and tell us you’d like your account removed. We’ll confirm the request and delete it within a few business days. If you’re a member of a co-op, your family record is removed at the same time, or you can ask your co-op admin to remove your family first.

Note: Deleting an account is permanent and can’t be undone.
