How event pricing works for families
What the price means
The event page shows the price next to the fee. A plain amount, such as $15.00, is charged once for your signup, however many people you bring.
$15.00 per person is charged for every person on your signup, adults and children. $15.00 per child is charged for each child only, and adults are free. When you sign up, the total updates as you tick who is coming, and it shows how it was worked out, for example “$60.00 (4 people × $15.00)”.
Who is counted
The people counted are the ones ticked on your signup: adults and students from your household, plus any guests you add. On a per-child event, your students and any guest children count. Adults, including guest adults, don’t.
On a per-person event, a signup is always charged for at least one person, even if no boxes are ticked.
Adding someone after you pay
Choose Change who’s attending on the event page and tick the extra person. Your spot stays the same, and you don’t need to cancel and sign up again.
You’ve already paid for the people you had, so you owe only the difference. The event page shows the amount due and a button to pay it.
Taking someone off
You can untick someone the same way. The event page then tells you that you’ve paid more than the signup costs now. Removing a person doesn’t send money back by itself. Your co-op can refund the difference, and any refund goes back to the payment method you used.
The same goes for cancelling your signup. Cancelling doesn’t refund a payment on its own, so ask your co-op if you want one.
While a bank payment clears
A bank payment usually takes a few business days to settle. Until it does, the event page shows “bank payment processing” and you can’t change who is attending on a per-person or per-child event. You don’t need to do anything. Once the payment goes through, the option comes back.
Card payments settle right away, so this wait doesn’t apply to them.
