How does pricing work?

HomeschoolGo is a flat annual subscription — $199/year for Essentials or $299/year for Plus. Whether you have 12 families or 120, you pay the same amount. Not per family. Not per seat. Just one flat fee for your whole co-op, no surprises.

What’s the difference between Essentials and Plus?

Essentials covers everything you need to run a co-op: roster management, class scheduling and registration, calendar, communication tools, and a billing summary export for your treasurer. Plus adds Stripe payment collection for dues and fees, up to 500 SMS notifications per month — included at no extra cost — class fee management, a custom public page builder for your co-op’s website, and the full treasurer report suite: overdue-balance aging and year-end teacher 1099 exports for board reporting.

Can I import our existing member list?

Yes. If you’re coming from Homeschool-Life.com, a spreadsheet, or another system, HomeschoolGo supports roster import. Your families won’t have to re-enter their information from scratch. Reach out after you start your trial and we’ll walk you through it.

Question 4

When does my annual subscription renew?

Accepted Answer

Your subscription renews one year from your first payment date. We’ll notify you before renewal so you have plenty of time to review or cancel.

Question 5

Can I switch plans mid-year?

Accepted Answer

Upgrading Essentials → Plus takes effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your year and get Plus features right away. Downgrading Plus → Essentials takes effect at your next renewal date; you keep Plus access through the end of your current billing period.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

Accepted Answer

Access continues through the end of your paid period. After that, your data is retained for 90 days in case you change your mind. No refunds are issued for unused time. You'll see this spelled out before you confirm.

Are there any additional fees beyond the subscription price?

Accepted Answer

On the Plus plan, Stripe charges standard processing fees when families make payments through your co-op: 2.9% + 30¢ per card transaction, or 0.8% capped at $5 for bank (ACH) payments. These fees are set and billed directly by Stripe to your co-op’s connected Stripe account — HomeschoolGo does not set or collect these fees. SMS notifications on Plus are powered by Twilio and included in your subscription at no additional charge, up to 500 messages per month per co-op. The Essentials plan has no third-party fees.

Does my co-op pay this, or do families?

HomeschoolGo charges your co-op one flat annual fee — $199/year or $299/year. What you do with that cost is entirely up to you. Most co-ops fold it into their annual family dues. At $199/year for unlimited families, it typically works out to a few dollars per family. If you’re on the Plus plan, you can also collect dues and fees directly through the platform — which means you can recover the subscription cost without ever sending an invoice by hand.
