Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HomeschoolGo's website, mobile applications, and related services (the "Service"). HomeschoolGo is a service of Pleiades Labs LLC("HomeschoolGo," "we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
1. The Service
HomeschoolGo provides tools for homeschool co-ops and similar groups, including member portals, calendars, class management, payment collection, communications, and related features, available through our website and our mobile apps. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
2. Organizations and their members
The Service is used by organizations (each a "co-op") and by the families, teachers, and members who belong to them. A co-op's account owner and administrators control that co-op's workspace: they decide what information to collect, who can access it, how the co-op is run, and whether to collect payments through the Service. Each co-op is responsible for its own use of the Service and for its members' content and conduct.
If you are a member of a co-op, your use of that co-op's workspace is also subject to that co-op's own rules and decisions. HomeschoolGo provides the software; the co-op decides how to use it. Questions about how a co-op uses your information should go to that co-op's administrators. How we handle personal information, including information about children, is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of law or third-party rights
- Upload malware, scrape or overload systems, or attempt unauthorized access
- Harass others or distribute illegal or harmful content
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written agreement
- Misuse the AI-assisted features, including attempting to extract underlying models or submitting content you do not have the right to share
Organizations are responsible for their members' conduct and for content they store on the Service to the extent applicable.
5. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you and your organization, which includes processing it through the third-party providers and AI-assisted features described below. The Service itself, including software, branding, and documentation, is owned by HomeschoolGo and its licensors.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them to improve the Service, without obligation to you.
6. AI-assisted features
Some optional features use large language models operated by a third-party provider to save you time, such as suggesting how spreadsheet columns map to our fields when you import a roster, organizing an existing co-op website into a layout, and reading an uploaded IRS EIN assignment letter to help with text-messaging registration. You choose whether to use these features.
AI-generated output is a suggestion, not a substitute for your own judgment. It may be inaccurate or incomplete, so review it before relying on it, and do not treat it as legal, tax, or professional advice. We describe what data these features send, and our provider's handling of it, in our Privacy Policy. We do not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated output.
7. Fees and payment
Your HomeschoolGo subscription.A co-op's paid plan is billed to the co-op by HomeschoolGo according to the pricing and billing terms presented at signup or renewal. These subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we expressly agree, and failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.
Payments your families make to a co-op.When a co-op collects tuition, fees, or other payments through the Service, those payments are processed by Stripe on the co-op's own connected Stripe account. The co-op is the merchant of record: the charge appears on the co-op's statement descriptor, the co-op controls its own receipts and branding, and the co-op pays the applicable Stripe processing fees. HomeschoolGo is not a party to those transactions and takes no percentage of them; we simply provide the software that initiates the charge.
Because the co-op is the merchant, any request for a refund, and any billing dispute or chargeback, is between you and your co-op and is subject to your co-op's own policies. HomeschoolGo does not issue refunds for payments made to a co-op. Payments are also subject to Stripe's terms.
8. SMS messaging program

9. Mobile applications
If you download our mobile app from a third-party app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), your use of the app is also subject to that store's terms. Where those terms require it, you acknowledge that the app store is not responsible for the app, that these Terms are between you and HomeschoolGo (not the app store), and that the app store and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries entitled to enforce these Terms against you. HomeschoolGo's own subscription plans are managed on our website, not through in-app purchase.
10. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (for example, payment processing, messaging, and AI providers). Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services. The current list of providers we rely on is kept in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOMESCHOOLGO AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR, IF NO FEES APPLIED, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS).
13. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify HomeschoolGo against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of others' rights, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or risk to the Service or others. You can export your own profile, family, and student records from the app, and you may request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Ohio will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country or state of residence where applicable.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new Terms with an updated date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
